The trend of lowerable car trailers continues

Complicated lading with access ramps is a thing of the past in the trailer sector. The new lowerable and tilting trailers, like REX, MU.T and WOM, are catching on in more and more areas. At the Grossenhain manufacturer STEMA alone, the number of units has tripled since 2015.

The advantage is obvious: its ground-level access ramps are as wide as the trailer itself. Every riding mower, every wheel barrow and hand truck, even motorcycles, quad bikes or small cars can easily be driven up onto the trailer. What’s more, there are many different possible uses. “The great demand for lowerable and tilting trailers has moved us to expand our product range and especially the accessories significantly in the last few years,” said Michael Jursch, Executive Director of the trailer manufacturer STEMA. For example, today it is possible to order a lattice extension already integrated into the side wall. Further, there are flat and high covers, ladder racks, and much more. The car trailers are available in six weight classes from 750 kg to 1,8 tons. Even the platform or box dimensions encompass seven sizes.
